Gemworks was created out of a love of fine jewelry in 2000. The colors, textures and brilliance of fine gems and unusual stones drew us to want to create and share this love with the public. Where do we start, we asked ourselves? We started our sales at local street fairs, Harvest Festivals and Greek Festivals. Because we have a deep connection to the Greek community, we began focusing our sales and product line for the Greek community. After much reflection we decided to focus our sales at Greek Festivals in the western states. We travel as far north as Oregon and as far east as Nevada. We began by creating simple beaded necklaces and lovely pearl strands. This grew into purchasing finished jewelry from all over the world. We now purchase beautiful jewelry from Greece created by George Gerochristo, which includes an amazing line of Orthodox Crosses. We also carry an extensive collection of Greek Key design jewelry in sterling silver and 14k & 18k gold. We carry a select line of designer Jewelry, which is constantly changing and our own designs in gold and silver. My wife and I were educated at the Gemological Institute of America in Carlsbad, California. I am a Graduate Bench Jeweler and my wife, Nicky, is a colored stone expert. We pride ourselves on an informed and honest representation of our products and our business.
